Begin with tombstones and other cemetery records, which often give the place of origin in Ireland. Match with newspaper entries, bank records, and records of Irish fraternal organizations. A simple and easy-to-understand approach for Irish immigrants who flooded Boston and New York City in the mid-1800’s.
